Thermal Imaging Cameras To Detect Moisture

Water damage is not always visible to the eye.  It can often be detected with infrared thermal Imaging cameras and moisture meters.  After determining  where the excess moisture is, proper drying can be done to prevent mold growth and wood rot.

The dark thermal image indicates cooler temperatures and probable water intrusion. Bales technicians then take  readings with other moisture meters to verify actual moisture. Moisture readings are taken on a regular basis as the drying process proceeds. (Readings are marked  on the tape and charted) Lighter areas in this picture indicate that the structure is drying.
